One Step Further for Women's Rights – Becoming Part of the Change with Youth

As Guardian Angels of the World, we are proud to be a partner in an Erasmus+ project designed to raise awareness on gender equality and women's rights. This initiative aims to highlight the social challenges women face and to empower young people to take an active role in creating change.

From increasing the visibility of women in business to questioning how women are represented in the media, this project invites young participants to be more than observers—they become part of the solution. Topics such as societal pressure on women, gender-based discrimination, and stereotypes are explored through creative and participatory activities including outdoor film screenings, public dance performances, storytelling workshops, and culinary sessions.

During the project, participants analyzed the portrayal of women in TV shows, news broadcasts, and social media, critically examining how media influences perceptions. These discussions encouraged self-awareness and empathy, helping youth to better understand the realities women face every day.

Through this project, we aim not only to educate but also to empower youth to become changemakers in their own communities. By the end of the program, we expect increased awareness about women's rights, a stronger sense of solidarity among young people, and a collective voice raised in support of gender equality.
