Animals cannot speak for themselves—but we can. Our project, conducted under the Erasmus+ umbrella, focused on transforming compassion into concrete action by educating young people on animal rights violations and encouraging active engagement.

Participants learned about the hidden cruelty behind cosmetics testing, leather production, and pet shop practices. The “Trend Victim Animals” sessions offered eye-opening insights into how widespread and normalized these practices have become—and how urgent it is to take a stand.

Beyond knowledge, participants also took initiative through creative, hands-on activities.

They crafted shelters for street animals, engaged in local outreach, and even launched awareness campaigns targeting the harmful consumption of animal-derived products. These efforts not only impacted the participants themselves but also raised awareness within the local communities.

The project also underscored legal differences between countries in protecting animals and showed how Erasmus+ can help foster cross-border cooperation to tackle shared challenges. Most importantly, it proved that young people—when given the right tools and space—can be powerful voices for change.

Through this experience, participants improved their communication skills, developed international friendships, and gained confidence to continue working for animal welfare, long after the project ended.
