In today’s world, environmental and social factors have increased the prevalence of mental health issues such as anxiety. However, these problems can be addressed not only with medication but also through artistic methods. Our project aims to explore the effects of art therapy on anxiety disorders and to raise awareness in this field.
Art therapy supports individuals in expressing their inner worlds and achieving psychological healing through symbols, metaphors, and visual images. Within the project, participants learned what anxiety disorder is, its causes, coping strategies, and experienced the healing power of art firsthand.
Through various art forms — from theater to model making — participants discovered new ways to manage their anxiety while developing their creative potential. Additionally, a theater performance effectively communicated the realities of anxiety disorder to the public, increasing societal awareness about this psychological condition.
This project not only transformed young people’s perspectives on mental health but also promoted the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ program and cultural exchange. It marked an important step toward healing through art.
